Hello, my name is Vasil Blagoev, Social Media Team Manager in Sitel Sofia, and I am a big fan of our Sitel Fit wellness program. I personally find this program amazing because it allows me to challenge myself and to find other Sitel Fit fans.
I managed to create a daily routine which starts from the morning with some push-ups and crunches, the best way to start the day, in my opinion, because it fills you with a lot of energy. The other thing I do regularly is running, and I try to run at least 3 times per week.
I was inspired by a colleague in one of my previous jobs, I saw how fit he is and moreover, he was committed, dedicated and he was able to set his goals and follow them. During the years I discovered that those qualities come from the running, it builds up your character. I discovered that while I run it is a very easy to forget about all my problems and just relax for one hour, just me and the road ahead of me towards my goal.
With regards to eating, I like to say that I train regularly, so I can eat whatever I want. Of course, I do not eat sweets and chips every day, but I am definitely not someone that will say ‘I never eat sweets, they are not healthy’. I found a safe middle ground and I like being there.
In my opinion mental health is as important as the physical health. If I may give you a tip, I suggest you to try to be focused on one task at a time. Multitasking is not always the answer, it could be pretty stressful for you if you try to do 2 excel sheets at once, right? If you have a project that will require more time, always book it in your calendar. This way you will know when to say “Stop” and to reschedule any additional tasks for the next days.
My goal for 2021 is to be a good example for the people around me and motivate them to be more active. Sport is of essential importance for our mental and physical health, now more than ever. Stay safe!
